The search for Gavin Smith, the missing 20th Century Fox executive who disappeared from the Los Angeles area on May 1, kicked into high gear on Tuesday (May 8) when his family launched a website asking the public for help in locating the 57-year-old.
More detectives have also been added to the search for Smith, who has not used his cell phone or credit cards since his disappearance, reports KTLA.
“We’re just doing our best to get as many people looking as possible,” says son Evan Smith, a basketball forward at USC. “We’re trying to find my dad. We need our father.”
The family has launched findgavinsmith.com asking anyone with information about Smith to contact them or police.
Smith, was reportedly last seen at a friend’s home in Oak Park, Calif., between 9 and 10 p.m. on May 1. He was believed to be driving his black 2000 Mercedes 420E class car. He was last seen wearing purple pants and black and grey shoes.
