This is one of those moments when we kind of want to hang our heads in shame and wish that Twitter didn’t spit America’s cultural ignorance back in our faces quite so overtly. But, there’s no denying it — we’ve somehow failed as a nation.
How? By allowing enough people to grow to an age old enough to be able to type “Who is Paul McCartney?” and make it a trending topic on Twitter Monday (Feb. 13) morning, just hours after the former Beatle and all-around music legend performed at the Grammy Awards.
If you’re still looking for an explanation, by the way, look somewhere else. All you’ll find here is disdain.
