The CW has renewed its improv comedy “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” for a third season.
The network has picked up 24 new episodes of the show, which has been a solid ratings performer since debuting on The CW in 2013. The new episodes will air in 2015, although a premiere date hasn’t been announced.
“Whose Line” features comedians Wayne Brady, Colin Mochrie and Ryan Stiles, along with special guests, performing improv games under the direction of host Aisha Tyler. It debuted to strong ratings last year, and although the show has cooled off some since then, it’s The CW’s top-rated summer series by a pretty wide margin.
Season 3 on The CW will be the U.S. version of “Whose Line’s” 11th season overall. It previously aired on ABC and ABC Family with Drew Carey serving as host.
New episodes of “Whose Line” currently air at 8 p.m. ET/PT Mondays on The CW.
