2011 SAG Award Nominees: 'Glee,' 'Modern Family,' 'Mad Men' lead TV noms

modern-family-cast-320.pngIt was a morning of very few surprises as Angie Harmon and Rosario Dawson announced the 2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards nominees - apart from a few slightly awkward, but still cute jokes from Harmon about sneaking her own name onto the list.

The "Modern Family" cast was honored as an ensemble, but notably, Emmy winner and Golden Globe nominee Eric Stonestreet wasn't singled out. Instead, co-stars Sofia Vergara, Ty Burrell, and Ed O'Neill were nominated in the outstanding actor categories. O'Neill was previously snubbed by both the Emmy Awards and the Globes.

"Glee"
continues to be well-represented by both the ensemble and standouts Chris Colfer and Jane Lynch. Of course, "30 Rock's" ensemble, Alec Baldwin, and Tina Fey were also nominated. Betty White, everyone's favorite sprightly grandma, was nominated, as was her "Hot in Cleveland" cast as a whole.

In drama, "Mad Men" and newbie "Boardwalk Empire" were honored across the board, along with a few heavy-hitter names that are always up for gold when awards season rolls around, like Mariska Hargitay, Glenn Close, and Hugh Laurie.
