2012 U.S. Open golf TV coverage schedule: Can Andy Zhang, 14, hang with the adult pros?

andy-zhang-us-open-golf-tournament-2012.jpgThe 2012 U.S. Open golf championship starts Thursday, June 14 at the Olympic Club golf course in San Francisco, Calif. The big story so far is 14-year-old Andy Zhang, who qualified for the tournament after two golfers ahead of him in the rankings scratched due to injuries. He breaks the previous record set by then-15-year-old Tadd Fujikawa for youngest golfer to compete in the U.S. Open. Can he hang with the big boys?

In addition to Zhang, all eyes will be on Bubba Watson at the U.S. Open, who is coming off his first major tournament win in the 2012 Masters Tournament back in April. Can he repeat as champion?

The TV coverage schedule is different from a lot of major tournaments, which are generally held in locations farther east than San Francisco. Because of the combination Pacific timezone plus days being so long (the sun setting so late), coverage goes until at least 10 p.m. ET every night.
