'24: Live Another Day' teasers hint at a terror attack at London's 'Gherkin' building

In honor of Super Bowl XLVIII, FOX released a series of teasers for "24: Live Another Day," the new Kiefer Sutherland-led event series that restarts the clock on the "24" franchise. Above, Jack Bauer cocks his gun, ready to kick butt and take names (one assumes, 'cause that's what Jack does).

Below, the first teaser seems to imply some kind of incident at 30 St. Mary Axe, otherwise known as "the Gherkin building," in London's financial district. The following teasers feature broken glass, flames and people running. Knowing "24," it's some kind of terrorist attack in London.

UPDATE: The final teaser was released in the fourth quarter, which shows Jack and Chloe O'Brian ( Mary Lynn Rajskub) together amidst the rubble on the London streets.

When "24: Live Another Day" picks up, the CIA is hunting Bauer, led by Benjamin Bratt as operative Steve Harris, so it begs the question does the CIA think Bauer is responsible for the London attack?

"24: Live Another Day" premieres May 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
