After being charged in connection with a June 23 domestic violence incident, 50 Cent is getting his day in court. The rapper, real name Curtis Jackson, is scheduled for an arraignment Monday (August 5), after allegedly attacking his ex-girlfriend, model Daphne Joy, and destroying property in her condo.

The Associated Press reports that should Jackson be convicted of the charges, he could be sentenced up to five years in prison and $46,000 in fines. It's estimated that during the incident, he caused $7,100 in damages to Joy's property.

According to Joy, she locked herself in a bathroom while Jackson destroyed her property. He then broke through the bathroom door and kicked her, causing an injury. The two reportedly share a child.
