'A Beautiful Body' project by Jade Beall celebrates mothers' bodies

Photographer Jade Beall has launched a Kickstarter (which has already far eclipsed its goal) to celebrate women's bodies -- no photoshopping, no airbrushing, imperfections galore -- and it's called "A Beautiful Body."

She writes, "How often do you see your body-type celebrated in main-stream media? Does main-stream media foster positive ideas about body-image in young girls? Can we change this? Yes. We can. We are."

The project is to release a book of 100 or more black and whtie photographs of mothers, each picture to be accompanied by an essay, narrative or poem written by the woman in the photograph about her personal experience with beauty and feeling beautiful in our culture.
