Aaron Sorkin, John Krasinski team for Chateau Marmont miniseries at HBO

sorkin-krasinski-marmont.jpgHollywood's most famous hotel will be the setting for an HBO miniseries written by Emmy and Oscar winner Aaron Sorkin and produced by "The Office" star John Krasinski.

The miniseries will be set at the famed Chateau Marmont hotel, which has hosted dozens of movie stars and other famous faces over the years -- everyone from John Wayne to John Belushi, who died there in 1982. Krasinski will probably also act in the project, which is in the early stages of development, Deadline reports.

The miniseries will be based in part on the book "Life at the Marmont," by the hotel's former co-owner, Raymond R. Sarlot, and Fred Basten. Krasinski, who lives nearby, says he wants the miniseries to tell the history of Hollywood through the hotel's star-studded guest book.

"My dream is to have a whole slew of great actors -- some very famous and some not famous at all, to make it an homage to Hollywood," Krasinski tells Deadline.

Sorkin, who's also working on an HBO pilot called "More As This Story Develops," and Krasinski will executive produce the project with current Chateau owner Andre Balazs and his daughter, Alessandra.
