ABC buys comedy pilot based on Kevin Hart's stand-up

kevin-hart-pilot-abc-gi.jpg Kevin Hart has sold a multi-camera comedy based on his stand-up to ABC, however there's one bummer: He doesn't plan on starring in it.

Deadline reports that the project, written by former "Community" executive producers Neil Goldman and Garrett Donovan, will take a candid look at the post-divorce life of a couple trying to forge a friendship for the sake of their children, despite their differences.

While Hart won't star, he will likely play a recurring role should the series move forward. He'll be on hand as executive producer, alongside Goldman, Donovan and his manager Dave Becky. 20th Century Fox TV is producing.

Before "Community," Goldman and Donovan spent eight season on "Scrubs," earning a writing Emmy nomination in 2004 for the episode "My Screwup."

Do you think Hart's stand-up will make a good sitcom?
