Academy Awards: Miley Cyrus on pre-Oscar death threats on Twitter

Miley-Cyrus-Liam-Hemsworth.jpgOscar night wasn't a complete fairytale outing for Miley Cyrus. Sure, she looked stunning in silver on the arm of her beau Liam Hemsworth at the Vanity Fair party. But before the start of the show, she had to respond to alleged death threats on Twitter.

The threats have been deleted, according to E Online but what she said in response to them is still up. First off, she tweeted, "U have nothing better 2 do than hate?" This after receiving messages saying she "dresses like white trash" and is "so f***ing hideous." Miley, there will always be haters on social media. Ignore those. However ...

"I wont tolerate someone telling me 2 die," she wrote about her death threats, saying "Twitter needs to take some responsibility and make it a safe environment." Wow! Not sure what Twitter can do to stop that sort of thing, but if you're posting a death threat on social media, it shouldn't take long for the authorities to nip this in the bud. Isn't that like the villain revealing his/her entire plan right before attempting to carry it out?
