Actor has terminal cancer: 'Game of Thrones' star Wilko Johnson is 'in good spirits'

wilko-johnson-terminal-cancer-diagnosis-gi.jpg"Game Of Thrones" star Wilko Johnson, 65, has been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. The news was confirmed to the BBC by Johnson's manager in a statement adding, "He has chosen not to receive any chemotherapy."

The statement notes that Johnson is currently in good spirits and not yet suffering any of physical effects of the cancer, noting that he, "can expect to enjoy at least another few months of reasonable health and activity."

The actor plays the character Ilyn Payne, a mute executioner, on the HBO series. He is also an accomplished British guitarist, most known for his time with the band Dr. Feelgood.  

Johnson plans to finish a new album and perform a small tour, as well as a few farewell concerts in the UK.
