'Idol' runner-up Adam Lambert to Clay Aiken: Kiss my coattails!

AdamLambe_Todd_57266111_600 Adam Lambert didn't actually mind Clay Aiken's comments about his singing making poor Clay's delicate ears "bleed."

"I don't know Clay," Adam told Access Hollywood. "I'm glad he's getting headlines now though, because he wasn't before. If he wants to ride my coattails about it, good for him."

Adam also wasn't upset about AT&T giving out cellphones at two pro-Kris Allen "American Idol" parties during the final round of the show, teaching folks to send multiple texts at once.

"I think people are making a big deal out of nothing," Adam says. "A couple of employees handed out a couple of phones and showed people how to use them. I don't think that's a conspiracy of any kind."
