Adam Levine talks 'surreal' People's Sexiest Man Alive win, his next bucket list goal
Speaking with Zap2it backstage after the big moment, Levine let us in on what it was like to have host Carson Daly break the news during the show. "Surreal. I was like, 'Really, really?'" he tells us, laughing. "No, it was very cool, very flattering."
As for how he planned on celebrating his exciting night? "I think by going to sleep. I'm extremely tired," he admits. "That's the best thing I could imagine right now, that's my dream -- to go to sleep. I'm gonna sleep like a baby. My team made it through; of course, this amazing honor -- I feel good."
Just don't expect him to wish he'd received the honor before becoming engaged to Behati Prinsloo, whom he proposed to July. While Daly suggests the perks could be greater for a single guy, Levine scoffs at the notion. "What is it with everyone ganging up on being engaged? I think it's awesome," he says.
Now that he's achieved this latest distinction, what's left for Levine to conquer? He pauses before answering. "I don't know, man. Become a golf pro? That's on the bucket list. And I have a long time to do that!"
