Alec-Baldwin-Captain-Steve-Rodgers-SNL-cropped.jpgAlec Baldwin made a surprise appearance on "Saturday Night Live" last night, appearing on "Weekend Update with Seth Meyers,"mocking American Airlines for kicking him off a recent flight.

Baldwin appeared in a pilot's uniform, calling himself Captain Steve Rogers and issuing an apology to Baldwin for kicking him off the flight for playing "Words with Friends." He Tweeted, "Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving. #nowonderamericaairisbankrupt"

"It was awful, Seth," he told Meyers, "which is why it was very important for me to come here tonight and on behalf of everyone at American Airlines issue an apology to Mr. Alec Baldwin."

Meyers asked, "Alec, are you sure this is the right way to handle this?" He answered, "Mr. Baldwin is an American treasure and I am ashamed of the way he was treated."

Baldwin may have very public temper tantrums, freak out on family members and have a serious addiction to online gaming, but he certainly knows how to handle the aftermath. Make 'em laugh and the public will forgive you for almost anything. Check out the video below and let us know what you think.
