Alfie Allen reveals his favorite 'Game of Thrones' Season 3 moments
Alfie Allen has two favorite moments from "Game of Thrones" Season 3, and unsurprisingly neither of them involve his character Theon Greyjoy. Considering Theon spent the entire season tortured in a small dark room, Allen opted to share two other climactic sequences that were his favorites instead.
"Well it's got to be 'Rains of Castamere.' That was pretty amazing," Allen tells Zap2it during an interview promoting the release of the "Game of Thrones" Season 3 Blu-ray and DVD.
"The Rains of Castamere" is the title of episode 9 of Season 3, but what Allen was really referring to was the horrific events of the Red Wedding. Even moreso than Ned Stark's Season 1 death, the murder of Robb and Catelyn Stark was the most show-stopping moment of "Game of Thrones" thus far. Revisit it below:
But the traumatizing Red Wedding wasn't the only sequence that Allen loved in Season 3. He also was a fan of Brienne of Tarth's showdown with a certain bear.
"I also enjoyed the Brienne bear moment. That was pretty damn amazing," he says of the scene, which was the only "Game of Thrones" segment filmed in the United States. "I'd say those two are definitely my favorite moments of the season."
