'American Idol': Alicia Keys to mentor for 'Idol Gives Back' week

alicia-keys-getty-320.jpgThe April 20 "American Idol" performance show mentor will be Alicia Keys. The theme for this week is Inspirational Songs, which is fitting, considering "Idol's" most inspiring special, the "Idol Gives Back" event, will be tied into Wednesday's results show.

In addition to helping the Idols during rehearsals, Keys will be performing on the "Idol Gives Back" special. She joins a list of performers that includes Elton John, the Black Eyed Peas, and former "Idol" winner Carrie Underwood.

Keys' most recent album, "The Element of Freedom," was released in December. Her "Idol" performance will be her last one on American soil for a while, as she departs for Portugal to continue her worldwide Freedom Tour shortly after.
