'American Idol': Didi Benami disses judges

Benami got the boot last week after singing "What Becomes of the Broken Hearted" during R&B week, a performance the judges called overdone and overly dramatic. She's now saying the judges should heed some of their own advice.

"I would say be more consistent, just like they told me," she tells the AP.

She also would like to see Simon Cowell and Co. not be quite so biting in their critiques: "I would tell them to not be as harsh because some of the things they said were really, really hurtful and not necessary," Benami adds.

Benami is hardly the first person to complain about the judges' inconsistent advice this season -- Make it your own! No, sing it the way it was written! -- but what do you think about the second comment? Sour grapes or legitimate gripe?

The remaining "Idol" finalists will sing Beatles songs this week.
