'American Idol': Justin Bieber taping performance for future show

usher-justin-bieber-getty.jpgIt's official -- Justin Bieber is coming to "American Idol."

It was only a matter of time before the teen singing sensation graced the "Idol" stage. Zap2it got word today from FOX that "Justin Bieber will be post-taping a performance after the [March 31 results] show ... This will air at a later date in the season."

It's no surprise Bieber is joining "Idol" this week, since Usher is there mentoring the Idols -- Usher is also Bieber's mentor and Usher's company Us Records is the label that signed Bieber after he blew up on YouTube. Usher recently talked with Robin Roberts of "Good Morning America" about his experiences guiding Bieber.

The March 31 "Idol" results show will feature performances by Usher, Diddy and "Idol" Season 2 winner Ruben Studdard. Bieber will be a special treat for those in attendance! We wonder when his performance will air? Will it be one of the myriad of performances for "Idol Gives Back?"

To discuss all the "Idol" elimination goodness, check out Zap2it's live chat Thursday, April 1 at noon PT.
