'American Idol': Keith Urban's deal nearly done, but who will be the fourth judge?

keith-urban-idol-gi.jpgThe judging carousel at "American Idol" continues to turn, with country star Keith Urban getting closer to joining the show officially.

Urban is on the verge of signing a contract to judge the show's 12th season, but the deal isn't quite finished, TMZ reports. He would join Mariah Carey, who is signed, and Nicki Minaj, who's still in negotiations.

Minaj's deal has reportedly stalled over the fact that she has an endorsement contract with Pepsi, while Coca-Cola is one of "Idol's" major sponsors.

Urban would take over for Randy Jackson, who's leaving his spot. The last remaining original "Idol" judge will still be part of the show in 2013, but he'll be a "mentor."

The "Idol" team is also apparently interested in re-introducing a fourth judge this season. Nick Jonas has confirmed he's being considered, but that's as much as anyone knows at the moment.

If a fourth judge is on the table, who do you think it should be? Would you like to see someone like Nick Jonas or a behind-the-scenes music professional, a la Jimmy Iovine? Give us your suggestions in the comments.
