'American Idol' Lee DeWyze performs 'Rocket Man' on 'The Tonight Show'

lee-dewyze-rocket-man.jpgOn Thursday, July 1, Lee DeWyze and the rest of the " American Idol" Top 10 will kick off their summer tour, but DeWyze took a break from rehearsals to stop by and perform "Rocket Man" for Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show" on June 25.

Does this mean that DeWyze will be performing the Elton John classic on tour? We'll find out next week!

Zap2it recently caught up with Lee and his "Idol" BFF Andrew Garcia to talk about who they'd like to tour with after they finish the Top 10 tour. DeWyze said he didn't have a preference, he'd just like to tour with someone who respects his music.

Garcia, on the other hand, answered, "If I could tour with anybody? I would open for Lee. That'd be sick. Go on tour with my best friend? That'd be sick."

"That'd be cool," Lee agreed. "This whole thing is crazy. I feel like I'm like lost in a dream and I don't know which way to go. And if it was all that it seemed -- sorry. Just kidding. Those are the lyrics from 'Straight Up.'"

We're sure Paula Abdul would be very proud, Lee.
