'American Idol': Lee DeWyze's 'Treat Her Like a Lady'

lee-dewyze-treat-her-like-a-lady-320.jpgHere's the conundrum with "American Idol" finalist Lee DeWyze: When he's on stage singing, he usually sounds quite good. But then you look at him, and it sometimes seems like he's trying to make himself as small as he possibly can.

On Tuesday (March 30), though, DeWyze broke out of his shell with probably his most confident performance yet. His rendition of "Treat Her Like a Lady" by the Cornelius Brothers brought the house down in studio, and just as important, he came across like he actually believed he deserved to be among the favorites.

At least until the judges started praising him (Simon Cowell said DeWyze might look back on this night as the one that changed his life). Then, well, he looked a little more like the uncomfortable Lee we've seen for most of the season. Take Ryan Seacrest's advice and smile, man -- it's earned.

Take in "Treat Her Like a Lady" for yourself.
