'American Idol': Michael Lynche, a python and 'Unnatural History'

michael-lynche-python-big.jpg"American Idol" finalist Michael Lynche used his big pythons to hold up another big python at the premiere of "Unnatural History" on Saturday, June 12.

Big Mike and his beautiful wife and daughter were on hand for the debut of this new live-action mystery series from the Cartoon Network. The show's premise is that teenager Henry Griffin returns to America after his adventurous world travels to navigate the rocky waters of high school -- so the red carpet for the premiere was filled with martial arts demonstrations, tribal drummers and exotic animals. Hence the giant snake!

It's nice that Big Mike could find some time for a little fun with his family. Rehearsals are underway for the "American Idol" tour, which kicks off in Auburn Hills, Michigan on July 1 and continues through the middle of September, so the Idols are hard at work to get ready.

"Unnatural History" airs Sunday nights at 8 p.m. ET on the Cartoon Network.
