'American Idol' quick 'n' dirty: Tim Urban whiffs, Casey James rocks

casey-james-top-12.jpgThe "American Idol" Top 12 took the stage for some Rolling Stones Tuesday (March 16) night. Tim Urban's Rastafarian Stones was the worst of the bunch, while Casey James showed he can play a wicked guitar and not forget how to sing.

This is Zap2it's quick 'n dirty recap of the Top 12 performances. Check back later for the full recap.

The Highlights: Casey James was able to show off his mad guitar skills without sacrificing his vocals. Didi Benami and Siobhan Magnus took us to a weird, dark place and as a result stole the night. And this was the first week Aaron Kelly didn't make us want to throw my shoe through the TV. In fact, he killed it. Well done, little Aaron.

The Lowlights: Tim Urban murdered "Under My Thumb" and Andrew Garcia crapped all over "Gimme Shelter." They were both really sub-par.

The Lights: Michael Lynche followed a great week with a very "meh" performance, while Lee Dewyze quietly picked a good song and gave a solid performance that may end up being forgotten. Crystal Bowersox finally showed some weakness in a performance that didn't live up to her usual standard.
