'American Idol' Top 7 set list tackles tunes from now and then

american-idol-top-7-set-list.jpgWith Jessica Sanchez staying in the competition for at least another week, the "American Idol" Top 7 will get one more chance to show America what they've got. The second time around, each finalist is singing two songs, one from "now" -- i.e. a Billboard Top 100 No. 1 hit from 2000-2012 -- and one from "then" -- i.e. a classic soul staple. Right on schedule, the set list has been revealed. Check out the Idols' song choices below:

NOW
"No One," Alicia Keys
"I Believe," Fantasia Barrino
"Rolling in the Deep," Adele
"U Got it Bad," Usher
"Born this Way," Lady Gaga
"Fallin'," Alicia Keys
"Bad Romance," Lady Gaga

THEN
"In the Midnight Hour," Wilson Pickett
"A Change is Gonna Come," Sam Cooke
"September," Earth, Wind & Fire
"Son of a Preacher Man," Dusty Springfield
"Try a Little Tenderness," Otis Redding
"Heard it Through the Grapevine," Marvin Gaye
"Let's Get it On," Marvin Gaye

Who do you think is singing each song? Honestly, this one's a toss-up -- except it's pretty obvious that "Mantasia" Joshua Ledet will be performing a tune from his idol, Fantasia. And either Colton Dixon or Phillip Phillips will be doing the gender-swap thing too, since there's only one more male in that "now" list. Plenty of the girls, on the other hand, will be doing the same during the "then" portion of the show.
