'American Idol's' Ellen DeGeneres: 'I hate hurting people's feelings.'

ellen-degeneres-idol-320-co.jpgNew "American Idol" judge Ellen DeGeneres is finding her job a lot harder than she imagined.

From the long hours to the breaking bad news to the offering honest critiques right to the contestants' faces, Ellen DeGeneres is finding out that the job of "Idol" judge is not as easy as it looks.

It's interesting that Ellen says there were a couple people she wishes she would've fought harder to keep. We also love that she says "next year" she'll know to fight harder. So she's not hitting the bricks once Simon leaves?!

The Hollywood Round begins airing Tuesday, Feb 9, with the next four episodes focusing on whittling the 181 Golden Ticket recipients down to the Top 24. We don't know about you, but we are so excited to see Ellen as a judge.
