'America's Got Talent' renewed, Joan Cusack is 'Shameless'

NBC has picked up "America's Got Talent" for a sixth season, which will come at you in the summer of 2011. Host Nick Cannon and judges Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel are all set to return. [ NBC]

Showtime has added Joan Cusack to the cast of its new series "Shameless." She replaces Allison Janney on the show, which debuts in January, and will play an "agoraphobic Chicago housewive" who develops a relationship with William H. Macy's character. [ Showtime]

We will learn the name of Conan O'Brien's TBS show on Wednesday (Sept. 1). O'Brien was planning the announcement for Tuesday, but then "my lawyers [told] me 'The Return of Nanny McPhee' was taken.'" [ @ConanOBrien]

The first wave of CMA Award nominations has been announced, and Miranda Lambert leads the way with five. Lambert and Dierks Bentley will announce the remaining nominees on "Good Morning America" Wednesday. [ CMA]

Neil Patrick Harris will put his host suit back on for "Fashion's Night Out," a Sept. 14 CBS special celebrating the fashion industry. [ CBS]
