Andrea Anders joins USA's 'Necessary Roughness'; 'The Voice' adds live results show

"Mr. Sunshine" star Andrea Anders has landed a recurring part on USA's new series "Necessary Roughness," about a therapist ( Callie Thorne) who counsels members of a pro football team. Anders will appear in at least three episodes as a publicist hired to help rehab a star player's ( Mehcad Brooks) image. [ TVLine]

NBC will give you a little more of "The Voice" before it closes out its inaugural season. The network has added a live results show at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday, June 22 and has set the season finale for 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 29. [ NBC]

You'll have to wait one more day for the premiere of "Rescue Me's" final season. FX has decided to move the show from Tuesday to Wednesday nights; consequently the season premiere is now set for Wednesday, July 13. [ FX]

Michael Cera will be a guest voice on "The Simpsons" in the coming season. The "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" star will play a Hemingway-quoting character who's a potential love interest for Lisa. [ EW]

"The Biggest Loser" has added another new trainer for its 12th cycle in the fall. Dolvett Quince, a trainer who's worked with Justin Bieber, will work alongside fellow newcomer Anna Kournikova and veteran Bob Harper in the coming season. [ NBC]

TNT's new series "Franklin & Bash" got off to an OK start on Wednesday (June 1), attracting 2.75 million viewers. The numbers for "Men of a Certain Age" weren't quite as good; its season premiere drew 1.85 million people. [ TNT]

FOX's comedy pilot "Family Album" isn't on the 2011-12 schedule yet, but producer 20th Century Fox TV is hoping to help its cause by producing a second episode of the show. It's still a contender for midseason (along with "Little in Common"), but in the meantime creators Joe Port and Joe Wiseman are joining FOX's fall series "New Girl" as co-executive producers.
