arrested-development-righteous-brothers.pngWelcome to the "Arrested Development" Rewatch. Leading up to the release of Season 4, Zap2it will be taking a look back at the 53 episodes that made the show one of our most beloved TV comedies. We continue with episode 18 of Season 2, "The Righteous Brothers," which first aired April 17, 2005. Watch the first three seasons of "Arrested Development" on Netflix.

Plot: George Sr. is forced to leave the attic where he's been hiding as a fugitive when an inspector comes by to examine the Bluths' sinking living room. George-Michael helps Ann stage a protest against the American remake of the incest romance movie "Dangerous Cousins" about cousins in love. It turns out to be one of Maeby's latest projects. Meanwhile, thanks to some meddling from Michael, Tobias falls for Kitty and brings her to Vegas, where he's got a Blue Man Group audition. Ultimately, George Sr. decided to turn himself in in order to keep his family together... and then swapped places with his unconscious twin, Oscar, at the last moment.

GIF-worthy scenes:

Recurring jokes worth remembering: Aside from a particularly enormous number of incest jokes, from "My father is my uncle!" to "I've got a nice hard cot with his name on it," there were the usuals -- Kitty flashing Michael, Gob's terribly racist ventriloquist act, Tobias' nevernude issues.

Notable guest stars: Judy Greer as Kitty, Mae Whitman as Ann, Andy Samberg as the Blue Man Group producer in Vegas.

Most sexual tension: George Michael and Maeby, who kissed as their house sank into the depths of hell. Or something.

Best narrator commentary: Regarding the "Dangerous Cousins" remake: "The studio hoped to avoid controversy by artlessly explaining that the two leads weren't biological cousins." The following year, "Arrested Development" would make the same move.
