'Arrow' Season 2 poster: Big character changes in the artwork

arrow-season-2-poster-cw-main.jpg The first "Arrow" Season 2 poster has been released by the show -- and it shows the major character changes we will see when the show returns in October.

Oliver Queen ( Stephen Amell) stands front-and-center, of course. As before, he looks both strong and vaguely mournful -- considering the image of his island behind him, there's a good reason for that. Oliver's "hero" team of Felicity ( Emily Bett Rickards) and Diggle ( David Ramsey) stand right behind him. Support is a good thing, after all.

Thea ( Willa Holland) and Roy ( Colton Haynes) stand off to the side, looking rather close. The two odd men out, Laurel ( Katie Cassidy) and Slade Wilson ( Manu Bennett), occupy the other background side together.

Both the actors pictured and the configuration show big changes coming in Season 2. For one thing, there are three new actors as regulars -- Rickards, Haynes and Bennett. It's almost like they're replacing three of last season's regulars: Susanna Thompson (Moira Queen, now in jail), Colin Donnell (Tommy, now dead) and Paul Blackthorne (Detective Lance, probably didn't fit).

With the island appearing in the background, the poster also tells us that Oliver's still-shadowy past will remain important.
