'Arrow' Season 2: Summer Glau scores a key recurring role

The "Firefly" star will have a recurring part on The CW show as Isabel Rochev, one of the corrupt people listed in the book Oliver's ( Stephen Amell) father Robert gave him. She'll first appear in the season premiere on Oct. 9.

In the Green Arrow comics, Isabel is a Russian girl who is inspired by Robert Queen when he visits the diamond mine where she works. She is inspired by him and many years later becomes CEO of Queen Industries after secretly buying up shares.

The show, however, has a slightly different back story for the character: She's the head of acquisitions at a rival company that wants to take over Queen Consolidated. We're going to go ahead and assume Glau's Isabel won't wear a mask, as the comics character frequently does.
