Ashley Tisdale on 'Hellcats': Performing with 3OH!3, the big flashback episode, and Savannah and Dan

hellcats-tis-papa.jpg"Hellcats" is back! After a long, dreary hiatus, we return to the squad on a new night -- tune in Tuesday, January 25 at 9 p.m. EST to witness the fall-out of Dan ( Matt Barr) and Marti's ( Aly Michalka) secret coming to light.

Zap2it caught up with Ashley Tisdale to get the scoop on whether the Hellcats family can survive Marti's big betrayal.

"You're obviously saying, 'Is it going to ruin the Hellcats!?'" Tisdale laughs. "I mean, that is the question. Savannah and Lewis finding out what happened between Marti and Dan was a big deal because Savannah was the one that brought Marti into the Hellcats. There was that trust, that friendship."

Still, Savannah and Marti's friendship might be strong enough to survive this. "Savannah found that being roommates with Marti, there was this friend that kind of understood her, because she's a little out there, a little different. Savannah's always been kind of alone that way. Next Tuesday, we're off to sectionals and things are definitely tense with everyone, of course. There's a lot of fall-out," she warns.

She may be able to eventually forgive Marti -- but will she be able to forgive Dan?

"I would never forgive him! Savannah has a really, really good heart, man," Tisdale says. "It's going to take something for her to forgive him. If the three of them are going to be friends in the next few episodes, it's going to take some effort. Savannah's a smart girl and she stands up for herself so I don't thinks she's someone who needs Dan in her life."

She's got more on her mind than boy problems, anyway. In an upcoming episode, Savannah performs with 3OH!3. When we mention it, Tisdale squeals. "Oh my gosh, it was so much fun!" she says. "I had a blast. First of all, I'm a huge fan of theirs, and we've used their music a lot on the show. First they told us that we were invited to the concert and I was like 'Oh my gosh, they're here in Vancouver?' Then they told me they were going to come on the show, and I was like, 'You've got to be kidding me,' and then the producers were like 'And we want you to perform with them!' and I just literally freaked out, I was so excited."

Tisdale says that her time in the studio was a thrill because it's a different type of music than what she's used to doing. Here's hoping the track will be released!

Savannah being bold enough to perform with 3OH!3 will be even more impressive when you see how far she's come. In the Feb. 7 episode, we'll flash back to when Savannah, Alice, and Lewis joined the squad.

"Savannah definitely looked different when she came to the Hellcats," Tisdale says. "She was a Memphis Christian Cyclone at the time, so she kind of has to go undercover to try out for the Lancer Hellcats, because she was captain of the Cyclones at the time. She didn't want them to think she was stealing moves from the Hellcats."

Now that we're in the second half of the season, Tisdale has been putting some thought into her hiatus plans. "I've got ' Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure' coming out this spring," she says, "so really, right after 'Hellcats' wraps I go straight to promoting that. I've been looking at some movies and reading some scripts, too, so I'll hopefully shoot a movie this summer."
