The guest-star parade on Season 2 of "Hawaii Five-0" continues with addition of Autumn Reeser ("No Ordinary Family," "The O.C."). She'll play a potentially recurring role as the curator of a maritime museum -- and potential love interest for Danny ( Scott Caan). So we guess his ex-wife is fully out of the picture now? "Grey's Anatomy" has settled on a new chief of surgery: Dr. Owen Hunt ( Kevin McKidd) will take over for Richard Webber ( James Pickens Jr.) in the coming season. The change comes after Richard takes the heat for Meredith ( Ellen Pompeo) screwing up the clinical trial for Derek's ( Patrick Dempsey) Alzheimer's treatment. "Grey's" premieres Sept. 22. "Gilmore Girls" creator Amy Sherman-Palladino could be making her way back to TV with an adaptation of "The Nanny Diaries" for ABC. The network is close to a deal for her to write a pilot, with Harvey Weinstein (whose company produced a 2007 film based on the book) and Ryan Seacrest. [ Deadline]

In a decidedly different kind of literary adaptation, NBC has made a script deal with two executive producers of "House" for a modern-day take on "Frankenstein." Russel Friend and Garrett Lerner will try their hand at Mary Shelley's classic horror tale, which was last done for TV in United States as a 2004 miniseries on USA. [ EW]

And yet one more book-to-movie-to-TV transition: ABC has also begun development on "The Lincoln Lawyer," based on Michael Connelly's novel which became a decently reviewed film starring Matthew McConaughey earlier this year. Connelly and the movie's screenwriter, John Romano, will pen the pilot script. [ Variety]

Former "Scrubs" star Sarah Chalke has signed a development deal with 20th Century Fox TV. The actress, who starred on CBS' "Mad Love" last season, will begin meeting with writers to discuss ideas soon. [ Deadine]
