'Bachelor' Sean Lowe on 'Dancing With the Stars': 'I want to win'
"I'm not looking for fame. In fact, I don't like the fame aspect of being the Bachelor or being on 'Dancing With the Stars,'" says Lowe. "I don't want the fame itself, but when an opportunity like 'Dancing With the Stars' comes along, it's too good to pass up."
"It will create a unique challenge, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity," Lowe continues. "I wouldn't have done it if Catherine wasn't OK with it."
Lowe is hardly the first "Bachelor" show alum to go on "Dancing With the Stars" -- but don't expect him to be such a strong contender right out of the gate like All-Star winner Melissa Rycroft. He has zero dance experience.
"But that's one of the reasons why I decided to do 'Dancing With the Stars,'" says Lowe. "It's something that's completely foreign to me. Everything right now seems very unnatural ... I'm sure the odds are stacked against me, but I hope to make up for my lack of skill with time and work ethic ... I'm competitive, I want to win. We're going to put in as much time and effort as it takes to be the best."
So, what will his fiancee Catherine Giudici be up to while Sean is working so hard on "DWTS"?
"I'm excited to explore the city," says Giudici. "I know that I'm going to try to find something for myself, so we can both share experiences together. I'm excited for him, and I'm excited for us and what this is going to do for our relationship in a positive way ... I'm his biggest fan, I'll be front and center, cheering him on."
Sean adds, "We might have one of the best wedding dances of all time once this thing is all said and done."
"Dancing With the Stars" premieres Monday, March 18 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
