'Bachelorette' spoilers: Reality Steve still thorn in Mike Fleiss' side
On July 3, Steve revealed on his blog who -- at least according to his sources -- Emily had chosen for her final two ( read here if you really want to know), and then on July 8, he posted detailed spoilers regarding the July 9 episode, which seemingly led to the following Twitter rant from Fleiss on Monday:
"Exterminator now has all the bug spray he needs. See ya..."
"Caught with a smoking gun... Next time, you should just shove the barrel in your mouth! Boom!!!"
"You just made my day, punk!!!"
"The parasite has been exterminated!!!"
"Where'd u go, buddy?"
"All will be revealed, my friends..."
"My lawyers are so happy!!!"
"Agreements should not be violated... :) this is gonna be huge fin!!!" [sic]
While Fleiss didn't refer to Steve by name, the "Bachelor" and "Bachelorette" creator has referred to Steve as a "parasite" before for spoiling past seasons, so it seems pretty obvious to whom the posts are directed.
Steve, for his part, responds with, "I have no idea what he's talking about. Let him be."
RS and Fleiss already battled it out -- via their lawyers -- over Steve's spoiler posts earlier this year. "The Bachelor" producers ultimately dismissed their lawsuit against Steve in exchange for RS agreeing that he would not "'initiate' contact, directly or Indirectly, with any cast, crew, and/or other employees of the 'Bachelor' concerning any non-public details of the 'Bachelor' series."
Based on his tweets, it seems Fleiss feels like Steve has somehow breached their agreement. Regardless, it brings up a bigger issue that Fleiss later addressed via Twitter on Monday night: Do spoilers suck the fun out of a show like "The Bachelorette"?
"Don't read this tweet! Get the point, spoiler fans?" he writes. "If spoilers made things more interesting then movie trailers would give away endings. They don't."
Do you think spoilers have a place with a show like "The Bachelorette"? Or should they be off limits?
