New trainer and famed tennis star Anna Kournikova tells Zap2it about what attracted her to the show, which she has been really hooked on since she did a guest stint in Season 10.

What attracted you to "The Biggest Loser"?

"I've always been passionate about health and fitness, not to mention a fan of 'The Biggest Loser,' so I actually went after the opportunity to appear on the show. I met with the NBC and Reveille folks a while back and they asked me what my passions were in one of the meetings, and I told them health and fitness, without question. They invited me to do a guest appearance on the BL season 10, so I did that and lead the contestants thru a tennis workout, and it went really well. I knew that day that this was the perfect fit for me. At that point we started talking more seriously and I was fortunate that there was an opening for me to work with the contestants on a consistent basis and I jumped at it. This is beyond my dream job."

Were you a fan of the show before you were brought on as a trainer?

"Yes, I've been a fan of 'The Biggest Loser' for quite some time. It's so inspiring and I love how its message is about changing people's lives and helping them to lead a healthy lifestyle.  And after I did a guest appearance on Season 10, I was really hooked!"

How do you think the age separation will affect the show? Do the younger folks have an upper hand in the physical challenges?

"Age is just a number when it comes to being mentally tough, but there is no doubt that the younger contestants will have an upper hand in a lot of the physical challenges. They are able to go harder for a longer period of time and will recover more quickly than the older contestants. Without a doubt, the older folks have to be smarter in their training."

Was there a particular age group you hoped would pick you as a trainer?

"I didn't think about that at all. I just wanted whoever was on my team to be motivated and eager to take that first step toward becoming a healthier person."

Is there one particular contestant you think we should look out for, for whatever reason?

"Each contestant is fighting to stay on the ranch for his or her own personal reasons, and this alone is a very powerful motivator so I wouldn't count any of them out as the next Biggest Loser!"

"The Biggest Loser" premiered Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. What did you think of the premiere?
