Bill Hader would '100 percent' do 'Ghostbusters 3' if asked; Talks rumored Judd Apatow slasher film

bill-hader-zap2it.jpgWe wouldn't peg Bill Hader as the horror film type, but we would love to see him in "Ghostbusters." When Zap2it caught up with the "Superbad" actor, we just had to ask about some of the most recent project rumors circling the web.

One report many people, including Hader himself, would like to see become a reality is a role in the anticipated "Ghostbusters 3." He is currently listed as a rumored cast member on the film's IMDB page, but for now, there's no offer in place.

"I will say it's not true in that I haven't been offered anything," he explains. "I read it on the Internet like everybody else."

The funny man explains that he's flattered to have even been thought of by "Saturday Night Life" alum, Dan Ackroyd, who reportedly dropped his name as someone he'd like to have in the movie. Other names supposedly mentioned include Anna Faris and Will Forte.

If an offer was to be made, Hader's in. "I would 100 percent do it," he says without hesitation.

One rumor that caught our attention came from a Wikipedia snippet (the most trusted of sources, we know) stating that Hader had written a "slasher film" which is set to be produced by Judd Apatow. The article notes that Hader will star in the film if it ends up being made.

"I put that in Wikipedia," he jokes. "That was all me."

Continuing, "Yeah, I'm working on something with Judd for a while now... yeah we'll see what happens with it."

He's not spilling the beans on this one, but we're thinking there's truth to this rumor. Hader just smiles and tells us, "You'll have to wait and see, I don't know..."

He did reveal more about the project to Total Film, saying "I play a guy who finds out that his girlfriend was basically a Laurie Strode-type from 'Halloween.' She's been hiding the fact that 15 years ago she survived this horrible night and the way I find this out is that I inadvertently take her back to her home town as a surprise and reawaken all the evil."

Don't worry though, it's a satire of course!

We also chatted with Hader about some of his favorite characters on "SNL." Click here to see how he came up with the hilarious Stefon, and why we love his take on Vincent Price.
