Blake Shelton talks 'Voice' buddy Adam Levine: 'I live to make him feel bad about himself'

Appearing on "Today" on Wednesday (Sept. 25), Shelton opened up about the two BFFs love-hate relationship, teasing, "I live to make him feel bad about himself." When asked about the onscreen tension, the country star joked, "I would say where there's smoke, there's fire. We're very attracted to each other. I'm already married, so it's never going to work out."

Shelton admitted that Levine has been going to great lengths to sabotage the three-time champs chances at securing another win this season. "I had a hard time getting people to come with me this year on my team, and Adam has some good points," he said. "He threw out some stuff about the NBA and how nobody's ever won four of anything in a row -- I can't remember what these stats were -- but he actually got in some people's heads and stole some people."

Though Levine, Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green are all out to best Shelton, he has no plans of letting that happen: "Screw them, man! That's my competition. I don't care if they like it or not."

Just so long as it doesn't come between our favorite besties, we're fine with that.
