Box Office: '2 Guns' slays the competition, 'The Smurfs 2' doesn't put up a fight

"2 Guns" has had a pretty nice opening weekend. The action comedy, starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg easily wins at the box office, raking in an estimated $27 million. The same can't be said for "The Smurfs 2," which lands at number three for the weekend, after opening Wednesday July 31). Its weekend brings in $18 million.

"The Wolverine" holds steady in second place, after opening July 26. The Hugh Jackman vehicle added about $21 million to it's overall total, with a smaller drop than its predecessor, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." Overall, "Origins" is still grossing more than "The Wolverine."
