It was not quite a silent night at the box office Friday (June 7) but ticket sales were awfully quiet. Ethan Hawke and Universal's "The Purge" managed to scare up $16.7 million, but the second place "The Internship," starring Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson only brought in $6.6 million for Fox.

"Fast & Furious 6" was close on "The Internship's" trail at third place with $6.1 million in its second week out for Fox. Lionsgate/Summit's "Now You See Me," which opened last week, came in fourth at $6 million. And Fox's animated fantasy-adventure "Epic" rounded out the Top 5 with $3.6 million on its third Friday in theaters.
