'Boy Meets World' cast reunites: Rider Strong hates Shawn's hair - Watch
The cast of "Boy Meets World" is already reuniting for the upcoming "Girl Meets World" spinoff, but the stars of the '90s comedy also came together to be a part of "Good Morning America" and Entertainment Weekly's reunion week.
Ben Savage, Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong, Will Friedle, Lindsay Ridgeway, William Daniels and the rest of the cast all reunited to look back at the show's legacy and also talk about its future. "I don't think any of us anticipated that after the show went off the air it was going to gain in popularity," Fishel admits.
Savage says that he believes the show remains popular because "the themes of the show are timeless." But while the former child stars have come to terms with their fame, Daniels says he still runs away when people call "Mr. Feeny!" after him.
Friedle reveals the secret as to why Eric and Shawn didn't have many scenes together: they both found one another too funny. "They never let Rider and I do scenes together because we would look at each other and start laughing," Friedle admits as a bloopers montage plays. "I think over 7 years we've had like five scenes together."
Fans might be surprised to find that Strong was not a fan of Shawn's iconic hairstyle after all these years. "I'm still not stoked on the hair. That was a horrible seven year choice," he says.
Fishel quips, "I think you're the only one who wasn't stoked on the hair."
As for "Girl Meets World," the woman known as Topanga says there won't be that many changes to the show's dynamic. "We're definitely all a little older but not at all a little wiser," Fishel says.
