In light of her new single leaking online a full day earlier than its intended release, Britney Spears is steering into the skid and releasing "Work B****" early.

The pop icon had been teasing fans about the release of the song for weeks via a countdown clock on her website. "Work B****" was originally scheduled to launch on Monday (Sept. 16), but a low-quality version hit the web on Sunday (Sept. 15).

"Woke up today and saw that a low quality version of Work B**** had leaked :(," Spears tweeted.

Spears' manager Adam Leber says it is "disheartening that one bad apple had to spoil our release for the entire fan community." The song's radio and iTunes debuts of the official cut were moved up to 3 p.m. ET on Sunday (Sept. 15).
