buckingham-palace-breakin.jpgLondon police have said that two men were arrested Saturday (Sept. 7) after a suspected break-in at Buckingham Palace. The incident occurred last Monday night, when one of the men scaled a 12-foot fence outside the Royal family residence.

The Telegraph reports that the man was found in a state room, while The Sun reports that the man kicked a door down. The police say that no members of the Royal family were in the palace at the time.

The man found in the state room was arrested on suspicion of burglary, criminal damage and trespassing. The second man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary.

"Both men have been bailed to return to a central London police station and enquiries continue," says a police spokesman.
