Former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Camille Grammer is currently recovering from a hysterectomy, after undergoing the procedure on Friday (October 11).

Her rep confirms to People that Grammer went through with the surgery after being diagnosed with an early stage of endometrial cancer. "[She] has been diligent about regular checkups and monitoring, which explains the early detection and rapid treatment," the rep says.

"The surgery went well and she is expected to make a complete recovery following a significant recuperation period," the rep reports, adding that Camille is thankful for her health care professionals. She also wants "all women to be aware of genetic factors relating to women's cancers and get regular checkups."
