Carrie Underwood trips, falls onstage during performance

Rocking out in heels is a dangerous activity, every girl knows this to be true. Even stars who perform in shockingly tall stilettos are susceptible to taking a spill now and then, and sometimes the entire thing is caught on camera.

Unfortunately, that exact situation happened to Carrie Underwood Thursday (Sept. 5) during her performance in Corpus Christi, Texas. The country star accidentally caught her heel on the long hem of an oversized shirt, and it dragged her down to her butt in the middle of a song. To her credit, she didn't even flinch and continued on singing like a pro -- albeit from a seated position.

Showing that she took it all in stride, Underwood took to Twitter later that night to make fun of herself. "Hey, remember that time in Corpus Christi when that girl busted her butt on stage?! Hilarious! Oh wait, that was me! #5inchheels #klutz," Underwood wrote.

Looks like the pain was a little more serious than she originally thought, though. "I can't move my toes. Is that bad?" she tweeted later Thursday night. On Friday (Sept. 6), she shared the outcome of her spill ... which resulted in some new, less glamorous footwear.

A fan at the show Instagrammed a video of the incident, which you can watch here.

Maybe Underwood can take a page out of Mariah Carey's book and bling out her new boot.
