CBS' 2011-12 schedule: 'Unforgettable,' 'Person of Interest' top new fall schedule

michael-emerson-gi-320.jpgCBS has announced its lineup for the 2011-12 television schedule. The eye network has picked up five new shows for the fall, three dramas and two comedies, plus there have been a number of timeslot changes. The midseason show is "The 2-2," a drama about a bunch of NYPD rookies.

CBS President Les Moonves says of the pickups, "To get on the schedule you have to be really good and we think we have the goods again this year ... the development this year was extraordinary."

Nina Tassler, President of CBS Entertainment, adds, "Comedy was a priority. We also wanted to get more women. we're very excited about introducing some strong female pieces and also some strong female-appeal pieces."
