CBS extends 'Mike & Molly,' 'Rules of Engagement' order; 'Smallville' may have two-hour finale

To make up for the loss of an expected eight episodes of "Two and a Half Men" due to Charlie Sheen's rehab stint, CBS has ordered an extra four episodes of "Mike & Molly" and "Rules of Engagement." This brings both of those series to a total of 26 episodes this season. There has been no talk of shooting episodes of "Two and a Half Men" around Sheen's absence. [ THR]

"Smallville" creators are considering a two-hour finale. Laura Vandervoort is likely to return as Kara Kent, AKA Supergirl. [ TV Guide]

Oprah Winfrey has ordered two new original series for OWN: "Searching for..." follows a professional genealogist and New Jersey housewife. "Breaking Down the Bars" looks at female prisoners trying to change their lives. Both shows premiere in mid-February. [ THR]

fan favorite Chad Lindberg, who played Ash in Season 2 (and dead Ash in Season 5) is set to appear on NBC's "The Cape" as Hicks, a computer genius who discovers The Cape's identity. The episode airs Monday, February 7.
