'Celebrity Apprentice': Lisa Lampanelli and Dayana Mendoza keep the racial tension going

But this time, issues of race seemed especially prevalent, perhaps because top of mind were headlines from the past week about Lisa's racial slur toward Dayana during a radio interview.

"I actually would love to see [Dayana] giving birth. She's a spic! She's going to do it f---ing soon, anyway," Lampanelli said during a Sirius XM interview. "She'll be knocked up before the end of the week."

Dayana later responded with, "I understand that it's Lisa's job to make fun of people for a living. If poking fun at me can help her sell tickets to her shows, no problem, I am happy to help her put food on her table. However, when she uses racial slurs, she is not only targeting myself but degrading an entire Hispanic culture."

So on Sunday's episode of "The Celebrity Apprentice," it seemed particularly poignant that Dayana wants to create a Latina puppet for the Henson Alternative performance task -- an idea that project manager Lisa shoots down. Later, teammate Clay Aiken asks Lisa to do her "Spanish chick" voice for the performance to which she replies with an exaggerated, "Ay papi! Ay chihuahua! Ay caramba!"

"It's unprofessional. It's disrespectful," Dayana says in the episode, referring to Lisa not giving her more of a role in the task but in editing world looking like she was referring to the voice Lisa does.

And just to drive the point home, Trump asks in the boardroom, "Did [Dayana's] accent hurt her?"

Do you think the show was trying to make an issue of Dayana's nationality between her and Lisa? Do you think Lisa was out of line in her behavior toward Dayana?
