'Celebrity Apprentice's' Donald Trump: Bret Michaels 'has done really well'

trump-leno.jpgAs Bret Michaels recovers from his life-threatening brain hemorrhage, fans hope he'll be well enough to show up to the live May 23 finale of "The Celebrity Apprentice." Donald Trump sat down with Jay Leno to discuss the chances of Michaels returning for the season-ending episode.

"Well, he's doing OK.  Fifty percent of the people don't ever make it to the hospital, that's how serious it was," Trump tells Leno. "He's just getting out of the hospital. He's going to try to be there, we don't know if he's going to make it or not, for the finale.  He's done really well and he's a great guy and we hope he's well."

Michaels is among the Top 5 celebrities still in the running to win the "Celebrity Apprentice" grand prize. He is playing for his charity, the American Diabetes Association. Whether he will remain in the competition is yet to be seen. On Sunday's episode, one celebrity will be eliminated, and it could be Michaels, Sharon Osbourne, Maria Kanellis, Curtis Stone, or Holly Robinson-Peete.
