Cheryl Cole to return to 'X Factor UK' as a judge?
Cheryl Cole's days with "The X Factor" might be beginning anew.
After being fired from the US show in 2011 after only a few days on the job, it's being reported that she is eyed to return to the original UK reality competition. Rumor has it that Simon Cowell will also return to the UK version of the show after spending three years on "The X Factor USA."
Sources tell The Daily Mail that Cole will likely return as a judge in 2014. With Sharon Osbourne, Gary Barlow and potentially Nicole Scherzinger expected to leave the judge's table, there are three big positions left to be filled.
Cowell and Cole were at odds for a while after he axed her from "X Factor USA" show, but the pair has made amends in the past year. He recently said that he would like to work with Cole again in a radio interview, sparking speculation that the former judge would return. Cole worked on the show from 2008 to 2010.
"The contracts for the show will be drawn up and negotiated in March, but the plan is very much to bring back Cheryl. Simon and Cheryl had fantastic on-screen chemistry," the source says. "It makes perfect sense to put them back together on-screen, and everyone involved is very excited by the prospect."
A spokesperson for "The X Factor UK" says, "There have been no decisions made on the judging panel for the 2014 UK X Factor series as yet."
